Lewiston New York is located right across the Niagara River from Canada and has been touted as the most affluent city in Niagara County and the eighth overall in Western New York. This is a very interesting city in that its surrounding cities are nowhere close to the most affluent but yet Lewiston, sitting right in the middle, prides itself on beautiful homes, luxury communities, and will build construction. Lewiston is home to a variety of high-end businesses, sporting, and entertainment venues including the Earl W Brydges Artpark State Park, a 172-acre state park located in the Village of Lewiston, and unincorporated part of Lewiston itself. This is an ideal place for summer musical concerts, picnic tables and pavilions, nature trails, a performing arts theater, recreational programs, and cross-country skiing in the winter.

Lewiston is also home to the Niagara Falls Country Club, a private club, and golf course located in the Lewiston Heights neighborhood.

It’s home to the New York Power Authorities Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant, a 65 acre complex with a raised reservoir, pump generating plant, and the hydroelectric power plants.

There are three museums in Lewiston including the Lewiston Museum, the Castellani Art Museum, an art museum centrally located on the University’s main campus featuring unique exhibits of nationally known and contemporary artists, and the Sanborn Historical Society Museum.

Lewiston is home to several healthcare facilities including the Catholic Health Mount St. Mary’s Hospital originally founded in 1907. This is a six-floor facility offering many different kinds of high-level healthcare as well as the EmStar emergency health facility.

Lewiston is the smallest city in the history of The Amazing Race to host the finish for an edition of this reality show. The Family Addition was finished in Lewiston.

There are five parks within the city limits of Lewiston as well as several hamlets and a main downtown business area.
